Illustration 1 Design
My first design is based on chapter 10 focusing on Viktor climbing to the top of the mountains overlooking the icy sea. In the mist Frankenstein's monster follows behind him watching his every move. As I am incorporating collage in my pieces, I have experimented with including text from my chosen chapter.
Illustration 2 Design
This design is based on chapter 5 which focuses on Viktor bringing his creation to life, but the result of his work is not what he expected. The frightening looking creature with yellow skin and yellow eyes awakens. I aim to include some form of collage into this piece, I intend to take photographs of different textures to create certain shapes.
Illustrated Quote
For my illustrated quote I have decided to create a gothic font to fit the dark themes of the book. The quote focuses on Frankenstein's eyes, within certain letters I will include my medical illustration of the creature's eye. The colour scheme will be minimal consisting of black and white.
